ARMS LICENSE
Application is required to be submitted in the name of Section Officer (Arms) along-with mentioned document at the counter established in R block of Ministry of Interior, Pak Secretariat Islamabad.

- Not considered unsuitable by the local police
- Neither a proscribed person nor is a member of a proscribed organization or suspected to be involved in any anti-state activity
- Not physically, mentally or psychologically infirm to carry a weapon

Procedure of Issuance of Arms license |
- Seeking Approval from Ministry of Interior
- Issuance of approval letter
- Uploading the approval on NADRA system through online process by Ministry of Interior.
- Biometric of Licensee within prescribed period and issuance of Demand Notice (both by NADRA)
- Purchase of Weapon from Authorized dealer and entry thereof on demand notice
- Entry of Demand Note in respective DC Office
- Submission of Demand Note in NADRA for issuance of Licence

- Consents of all family member on affidavit (attest by the Notri Public)
- Original Arms license Booklets/Card
- Succession Certificate or Declaration Certificate issued by NADRA.
- Police Clearance Certificate
- NADRA Family Registration Certificate

- Copy of CNIC (attested)
- Copy of computerized license valid for 5 years(attested)
- Certificate from authorized arms dealer regarding obsoleteness/un serviceability of weapon
- FIR (in case weapon is lost)
- Affidavit (attested from Notary Public) in case weapon is lost

- Request in the name of Section Officer (Arms) Ministry of Interior.
- Certificate that no person on decisive position or authority is convicted or maintains relations with proscribed organizations
- Valid registration letter
- Certificate/ verification about training of the guards ( in case of security companies)

In case of Filer fulfilling the prescribed tax ceiling (100,000/- for PB and 50,000/- for NPB) for each category of arms license shall be reduced to one-half. Note : Fees is to be submitted in NADRA at the time of issuance of Demand Note upon approval from Ministry of Interior |

Who can be a retainer other than the licensee? |
- A person otherwise eligible to hold personal arms license under Pakistan Arms Rules, 2023.A retainer may only retain possession of the Arms and he has no right to use the weapon in question
- The Name of the retainer is to be mentioned in the Form of NADRA
